It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Lion Brian Prout of Caldicot to higher service. Lion Brian was a cornerstone of our club and a man of remarkable character who lived the ethos of "We Serve" in its purest form.

In recognition of his tireless dedication, Brian was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship, the highest accolade a Lion can receive. This honour reflects a lifetime of service that went far beyond the ordinary.

Lion Brian was a man of many talents and a brave heart. He famously built our community Pig Race with his own hands, a testament to his skill and his desire to bring joy to others. He was also our resident adventurer; whether he was wing-walking for charity, walking with lions, or travelling the world, Brian’s spirit knew no bounds.

He leaves behind a legacy of service, courage, and friendship. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. We have lost a titan of our community, but his impact will be felt for generations.
