It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved friend and fellow Lion Rowland Searle, who passed on to higher service this past Saturday.
With over 35 years of dedicated service, Lion Rowland was the embodiment of what it means to be a Lion — selfless, compassionate, and steadfast in his commitment to helping others. A recent recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship, his leadership and heart were felt most strongly in the Spectacles Recycling and Message in a Bottle programs, both of which he led with care and consistency for many years.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his wife Ann and the family during this difficult time. We hope they take comfort in knowing how deeply he was respected and how profoundly he will be missed. We are grateful for his presence in our lives and in our Club. He will be deeply missed.
