A touch of flamingo fun for Caldicot School’s Transition Day

In a playful and welcoming gesture, the Chepstow and Caldicot Lions helped provide incoming students at Caldicot School with a flamboyance of pink flamingos on Monday morning. The display, which surprised and delighted students arriving for their Transition Day, was a lighthearted way to mark the beginning of their journey into secondary education.

The "You've Been Flamingoed" installation featured dozens of plastic flamingos lining the entrance to the school. The initiative aimed to ease nerves and build excitement among the students who will officially join the school community in September.

“This was about making the students feel welcome and showing them that school can be fun,” said a spokesperson for the Lions. “We hope this created a memorable first impression.”
