Local teenager Noah Herniman has been bestowed with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF). This distinguished honour represents the pinnacle of recognition for outstanding service to the community.

Noah’s unwavering commitment to supporting families navigating the challenging journey of cancer is truly commendable. His selflessness and tireless efforts have made a profound impact, providing solace, hope, and practical assistance to those in need.

During his own battle with an inoperable brain tumour, Noah raised thousands of pounds to create Noah’s Retreat—a holiday lodge designed specifically for young people facing similar challenges.

This retreat provides a sanctuary where families can escape the rigors of treatment and create cherished memories.

The Melvin Jones Fellowship, named after our visionary founder, Melvin Jones, is a testament to Noah’s compassion, dedication, and unwavering spirit.

As a Melvin Jones Fellow, Noah received a commemorative plaque. His name now joins a community of changemakers who embody kindness, service, and humanitarian values.

In the words of Lion Gary Anderson, Past International President, "Noah, you've always been a Lion. You just didn't know it."  Thank you for making a difference.
