Lion Nigel’s decision to become a Lion was influenced by shadowing the late Lion John Bennett MJF, for three months. This hands-on experience gave Lion Nigel a first-hand look at the impact the Lions have on the community, and solidified his belief that joining the Lions was the right choice to make. The mentorship and guidance from Lion John played a significant role in this decision, showing him the values and camaraderie within the club.
Lion Nigel’s most memorable experience as a Lion was his involvement with The Kids Cancer Charity in Swansea. Seeing the direct benefits of our efforts, and knowing that contributions are making a difference in these children’s lives made this experience particularly memorable, and highlights the profound and personal connections that can be formed through charitable work.
Lion Nigel’s favourite food is a classic British dish, a meal that is not only delicious, but also evokes a sense of home and cultural identity - fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce.
